The picture opens to the kitchen of Joe's Victorian Home The kitchen is well maintained, despite the obvious dishes from the morning breakfast The counters are a soft blue tile The floor a genuine marble The sink features a stainless steel faucet Around the table, sit The empty dishes of a breakfast well deserved set in front of Joe, Randall, and Glenn Randall - Well Joe, that was fantastic! Thanks. Glenn - Yes sir! Very well done Joe. Joe - Well ya both be welcome. My Grand mama Seward learned me good at cookin'. Glenn - I'll say! Those eggs were fantastic. They gave mom's a run for their money. The three men share a laugh Glenn - Now what's this you guys have to tell me? Randall - Well, Glenn..... Randall pauses for a moment Joe - Ya know I'm wrastlin' tomorrow night? Glenn - Right. Randall - Well, Glenn, now nothing is official yet, but we were talking the other night, at the house, about how Joe, would be all alone if the Kovenant came down to the ring. Glenn shrugs his shoulders Glenn - What are you getting at Dad? Joe - Ya see Glenn, me and your ol' man were talkin' bout you being at ringside, tomorrow night, in my corner. Glenn - Seriously?! Randall - Seriously son! You would act as a bodyguard for Joe in case the Kovenant tried anything funny. Glenn takes a second to recover from the initial shock Glenn - Shit yeah! I'd be glad to be in Joe's corner. I don't know if I could handle those Kovenant guys, but I could try if I had too. Joe - Nothin' is official yet. I gotta talk ta Drivlane on this one. Randall - You and I will both fly to Philadelphia with Joe. Glenn - Alright! When do we leave? Joe - Our flight be leavin' at six. Randall - I'm going to stay here. Take the truck, head home, and pack your bag. Glenn - Alright. Joe - But just do us one favor now. Glenn - Yeah, what is it. Randall - Don't tell your mother. She knows I'm going to Philadelphia, but she doesn't know you're going. Glenn - Oh man....you know how mom is.... Joe - Yeah. Randall - Just tell her you got called to go on the road with the semi. Glenn - What if she finds out? Randall - Then we will cross that bridge when we get home. A moment of silence follows Joe - Like I said, I gotta talk ta Drivlane. So nothin' is official yet. Randall - This could be your big change Glenn! Glenn - I'm going to take the truck and get my bags packed. Keys! Randall hands his truck keys to Glenn Glenn - Anything you guys need? Joe - Naw. Glenn - Dad? Randall - I already brought my stuff along. My bag is in the back of the pickup. Glenn stands from the kitchen table Glenn - Be back in a little while. And so Glenn heads through the front door Joe and Randall sit and continue to discuss the night of July fifth This might be Glenn's big chance |
