(The picture opens to a UWA training facility, located in New Orleans, Louisiana) (There are a few punching bags, various weight sets, and one wrestling ring in the center of the facility) (Three young students stand in the center of the ring as a wrestling instructor talks with them) (The instructor is dressed in black shorts and white T-shirt) (The three students are dressed in various work out attire) Instructor Bob - You boys have really improved in taking the ropes. However, I am a little concerned with the overall flow during the blind wrestling. Remember, hip toss, clothesline, and drop toe hold. If you lose communication, use one of these three. Or, expect one of these three. Students - Yeah, uh huh.... Instructor Bob - We are privileged to have a UWA superstar with us today for our session. Student #1 - Really? Instructor Bob - Yes. Student #2 - Who? Instructor Bob - Smokin' Joe Seward. The current UWA Hardcore Champion. Students - Awesome! Cool! Instructor Bob - Now, Joe didn't have the benefit you guys have. He grew up, learning from T.V. and old magazines. The other part comes from his size, talent, and determination. Listen closely to him, although some of what he uses for technique is a little unorthodox, keep in mind, he will introduce you a little bit to the Hardcore Style. Student # 3 - Hardcore.... Student #2 - Yeah...seriously... (A door from across the facility opens up. In strolls Smokin' Joe Seward, with a Hawaiian shirt and khaki shorts. Joe climbs through the ropes and greets the four men in the ring.) Joe - Hello there Bob! Instructor Bob - Hello Joe. Joe - These be the students? Instructor Bob - Yeah, here they are..Tim, Clyde, and Jacob. Joe - Hey there fellas. Students - Hey! Joe - Ya ready ta wrastle? Tim - Yeah! I'll go first! Joe - Very well! Instructor Bob - Alright guys, clear the ring. (Bob and the other students exit the ring) Tim - Okay, go easy on me old man. (Joe and Tim circle the ring) Joe - Don't ya worry. How bout ya take it easy on me. Tim - Okay, but.... Joe - No buts! Just blind wrastlin! Tim - Gotcha! Joe - On three. Tim - One! Joe - Two, Three. (Tim and Joe lock up, head to head. Joe comes away with an arm bar and backs Tim into the ropes. Joe sends Tim off the ropes. When Tim rebounds, Joe knocks him down with a shoulder block. Tim rolls over to his stomach as Joe takes off for the opposite set of ropes. After Joe leaps over the young student, Tim stands and delivers a Hip Toss to Joe as he come off the ropes. Tim charges at Joe, who responds with a drop toe hold. Tim bounces to his feet, and Joe takes him down with a clothesline. Tim rebounds up, just in time to catch a charging Joe with an Arm Drag Take Down) (Both men come to a halt) Instructor Bob - Notice the flow guys. That is how you properly wrestle blindly. Now, Jacob and Clyde, I want you two in there also. Clyde - I'll go next. Instructor Bob - Very well. Tim - Nice job Joe! Joe - Not too bad yourself there youngster. Ya just keep a workin'. (Tim and Joe share a handshake in the center of the ring) Jacob - Hey, before you and Clyde start, can you tell me what you think of Nikolas Globe? (Joe stands in the center of the ring with his hands on his hips) Joe - Ya know, I think he wants ta do away with ol' Joe. I don't think he much care for me. (Joe walks over and leans on the turnbuckle) Joe - Although, I think ol' Globe should have more respect for me than what he does. Afterall, Globe is a man of champions. And I, although I hate ta be a braggin', but I think myself a man of champions too. Instructor Bob - Two champions meeting in the center of the ring! How sweet! Joe - That's right Bob. I can't tell ya how its gonna go. I can't tell ya who is gonna win. I will say, it will be interestin' when this cigar smokin' fool, meets up with one mean Russian. I think it be one for the history books. Jacob - I see. Well good luck sir. Joe - Callin' me sir is like puttin' an out house on an elevator. Jacob -..... Instructor Bob -..... Clyde and Tim - (laugh) Joe - Now, Clyde, your next I think! Clyde - (Still laughing) Okay, here I come. Instructor Bob - Out house? Jacob - Oh I get it, very funny! (The picture fades as Joe and Clyde begin their training as Bob is still wondering about Joe's joke.) |
